Property Level Protection

Independent expert Property Level Protection (PLP) surveys for individual householders and communities

We are authors of the "Homeowners Guide to Flood Resilience" and members of the Flood Protection Association. Our independent PLP surveys for communities or individual householders, ensure you get impartial advice on the best products for your home and a report approved by the Association of British Insurers to help you get insurance at a price you can afford.

Firstly, we complete a desktop survey to establish the source and pathways of flood water, depth, duration, velocity, annual probability and effectiveness of defences.

We then set up an appointment for the survey offering maximum flexibility  including evenings and weekends. Before carrying out the survey we spend time explaining the purpose of the survey and demonstrate a range of flood resistance products so you know how the products look, feel and operate.

We survey the property to establish routes of water ingress including internal and external features and non-structural issues, such as the ability of the householder to install or operate flood protection products.

We produce individual householder reports in line with Environment Agency guidance using the standard report detailing the flood risk, the points of entry/routes of water ingress and our recommendations for mitigation measures and priorities and if required, obtain quotations from reputable suppliers and installers. Finally, we carry out post installation surveys to confirm the products are installed as specified and issue a report to ABI standards that will help you get insurance at a price you can afford.

We’ve successfully delivered Property Level Protection (PLP) surveys & reports for individual householders and several community schemes:
