Property Level Protection surveys, Pershore, Worcestershire

RAB has recently been appointed by Wychavon District Council to carry out Property Level Protection (PLP) surveys for 14 properties in Wick and Wyre Piddle.

Key activities include:

Liaising with homeowners and setting up appointments to carry out householder surveys

  • Carrying out a topographic survey to identify ground and threshold levels (GPS verified)
  • Undertaking property surveys to identify routes of water ingress (in line with DEFRA’s Household-Level Flood Protection Surveys template)
  • Preparing individual householder reports
  • Engaging with homeowners, explaining what the recommendations mean for them and confirming their agreement for flood resistance products to be installed

RAB will also be undertaking the following activities over the next few months:

Carrying out post installation inspections and sign-offs

  • Completing the Environment Agency’s/Association of British Insurers’ ‘Flood Risk Report template’ for homeowners to share with their insurers
