RAB Appointed to Environment Agency Property Flood Resilience Framework
Nov 26, 2018

We are delighted to announce we have been successful in winning a place on Lot 1 of the Environment Agency’s National Property Flood Resilience (PFR) Framework. Lot 1 suppliers provide independent PFR surveys for the Environment Agency and local authorities identifying what measures can be taken in order to make properties more resistant and resilient to flooding.

Additionally, we are equally delighted to announce that we will be supporting Whitehouse Construction as their preferred surveyor under Lot 3 – survey, supply and installation of PFR measures.  We are currently working with Whitehouse to deliver a large PFR scheme in Hove and Portslade.

We have significant experience of carrying out PFR surveys having supported multiple local authorities, private organisations and property owners since 2011. Our surveys consider local flood risk, property construction and resident capabilities/preferences to set appropriate recommendations for resistance and resilience.

Ray Pickering, Director of Flood Risk Management, stated “this is a significant win for RAB and demonstrates our established reputation as an industry expert in carrying out PFR surveys. There is a marked increase in PFR being a means of protecting properties that remain at risk or do not benefit from permanent flood defence schemes”.
