Essex Property Flood Resilience surveys
Nov 21, 2018

We have recently been appointed to carry out Property Flood Resilience (PFR) surveys across Essex as part of Essex County Council’s 5 year programme to help manage the flood risk to properties across the county. We expect to carry out up to 80 individual property surveys and reports for the financial year 2018/2019 with the potential for continued surveys throughout 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.

We have significant experience of carrying out PFR surveys having supported multiple local authorities, private organisations and property owners since 2011. Our surveys consider local flood risk, property construction and resident capabilities/preferences to set appropriate recommendations for resistance and resilience measures.

Upon completion of the installation work we will revisit the properties and produce a Post Installation Flood Risk Report (PIFRR) confirming the work has been carried out in line with our recommendations. The PIFRR summarises flood risk information and details the flood resistance and resilience measures that have been provided for the property. These can be provided to the residents who may choose to share it with their insurer to show PFR measures are in place.
