Midlands Flood Risk System Management Strategy:
to develop a three
year strategy which will enable the Environment Agency Midlands
Region to meet business targets to improve the condition of flood
risk systems, contract out maintenance work, stop unjustified work
and maintain an effective incident response capability.
Options to Implement PUWER Regulations:
To
identify a preferred option to comply with the Provision and Use of
Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) regulations throughout the
Environment Agency that also complements the Agency’s strategy for
acquiring, maintaining and using mobile plant and equipment in the
future.
Thames Estuary
2100 Project, Non-Structural Responses:
A study to establish the effectiveness of flood emergency planning
and warning activities in the Thames Estuary both now and under
future climate change scenarios.

Warnings Direct Proof of Concept:
Assessment of technical, operating and commercial risks of the
Environment Agency and SEPA sharing the same flood warning
dissemination system (FWD) and subsequent development of SEPA
business case for the FWD option.
